Context

Red Magisterial is the platform where Mexican teachers find resources, training, and guidance for the country's public-education system. It's the main product in Edilar's portfolio and the one with the largest audience.

As Head of Design I own the design strategy across the platform: what we build next, how it holds together as a system, and how the team ships it. Rather than a single redesign, the work has been a sequence of launches that each solve a concrete moment in a teacher's year.

MentorIA

An AI assistant that answers teachers' questions against the NEM — Mexico's national curriculum framework — and recommends resources for what they're actually trying to do. It ships as an interactive playground on the public homepage, so a teacher can try it before signing up.

Lead designer. Owned product definition and scope from discovery through handoff, working closely with engineering; one junior designer took specific screens and assets.

Zona USICAMM

A dedicated space guiding teachers through the USICAMM process — the national system for teaching positions and promotions.

Led research and design direction with 1 designer, defined the deliverables we both executed, and ran the stakeholder review sessions.

The signed-in dashboard. We saw how much the platform offered and how hard it was to manage with a single home — teachers had no way to save what they found, come back to it, or discover what was new.

Spotted the opportunity and led design with 2 designers, shaping it as we shipped.

Team

As Head of Design I lead a team of 4+ designers, and the shape of that changes per initiative: I designed MED Aula Didáctica solo, paired with one designer on MentorIA and Zona USICAMM while owning research and direction, and led a group of three on the Panel. I define the deliverables the team executes and run the review sessions with stakeholders.
